2005 ARAI HELMETS

Features of the 2005 Arai helmets include ventilation slots on the chin bar and F1 style ventilation/exhaust ducts on the top. The direction of these ducts can be changed to use them as outlets or inlets. This system alows low pressure that builds up behind the helmet to pull hot air out of the helmet, rather than trying to push cool air into the helmet. 2005 Arai helmets are built from a super fiber mix using a bag-molded, Super Complex Laminate Construction process with robotic laser shell trimming for an ultra-lightweight shell. The shell is made from a combination of carbon fiber, kevlar and fiberglass. Arai uses a patented D-ring chin strap to eliminate the bulge and discomfort against the driver's jaw. 2005 Arai helmets come standard with a thick pre-formed face shield that has a positive lock-down and is optically correct to provide a clear, undistorted view. New cheekpads in the 2005 Arai helmets have a more rounded shape than the previous model for a better fit around the cheeks. The 2005 Arai helmets utilize an aerodynamic shell shape which reduces wind noise by allowing less wind to enter the helmet. Stainless steel, brass and aluminum hardware.
